How to Avoid Sunspots on Skin 

Sunspots on skin may indicate underlying skin conditions. Those people who have overly sensitive skin are prone to have sunspots especially during summer or early spring. And the condition may get worst if it is exposed to the sun.

Causes of sunspots on skin

Different skin conditions can cause sunspots on skin. Some of common causes of sunspots on skin may include the following:

Sun allergies

PMLE is one form of sun allergies, which can cause white sunspots on the skin after exposure to the sun. Some people may have burning sensation and redness of the skin, which can also be accompanied with swelling and some blistering in the affected area.

Fungal infection is another skin condition, which may cause sunspots on skin. Generally, fungal infection is not a serious medical condition however, it can cause bothersome effects when it gets visible to the skin especially when the white spots get to grow largely.

The sunspots due to fungal infection are often triggered by hot weather, oily skin and hormonal imbalance.

Treatment of Sunspots

Some treatment of sunspots may include:

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera leaf is one effective natural treatment for sunspots on skin. Cut the leaf lengthwise and apply it to the affected area. You may apply the aloe gel at  least three times daily. This will boost skin healing much faster.

Keep hydrated

Hydration is important for your skin. To keep hydrated, drink at least 8 to 12 glasses of water.

Apply sunscreen

Never go out during the day without any sunscreen protection. You need sunscreen with higher SPF to protect you from sun exposure.

Avoid tanning beds

Tanning beds are not recommended for you, It is important that avoid tanning beds as it can give you wrinkles and may result to skin cancer.

In the end, it is important that you see your doctor when you observe sunspots on skin. Early treatment may avoid the sunspots from spreading to other parts of the body.
